Ep #70 - María Putman
"Vi la necesidad de que la comunidad inmigrante, entendiera el sistema de educación de EEUU."
"I saw the need for the immigrant community to understand the U.S. education system."
Maria Putnam is one of the best prepared Latinas in the area of education for the immigrant population. A woman who, since her first years in this country, has been able to identify the problems of education laws and the difficult access for people arriving from Latin America, and who has been concerned about intervening and developing programs that allow a fairer performance for the community that wants to access education.
Maria also invites us to participate in her next conference: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It will be held on August 16 at the Down Hall in Aurora, where it is vital to attend, to learn about the strategies that are being implemented in institutions, and in which we must set precedents, as the voice of the immigrant community.
